If for some reason you want to hide applications on Xiaomi mobiles, Redmi o Pocophonetoday we will show you how to do it. You can make this possible with a simple function included in Miui 11+and as you know, almost all the brand’s phones have it! Except the Mi A1, A2 and A3.
How to hide certain applications on Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO phones
Before you start you should know that in MIUI 9 you will not be able to hide the application, but you can only lock it with a password. In newer versions you will be able to hide it completely, if it still works, you must do the following:
- Go to Settings/Applications ⇨ Application Lock
- Inside, tap the gear icon (at the top right)
- Find and enable the Hidden applications option
- Select the app you want to hide and voilà! Your phone will prompt you for a password and that’s it, hidden app.
Once done the application in question will have been hidden in a hidden apps folder. From which you can manage (hide or show) the apps that are inside.
You may have to perform a V-shaped pinch gesture outward from the screen in order to access this hidden folder in Miui.
Hide app notifications
In this part we will hide the notifications that may arrive to our phone from those apps that we don’t want to receive.
To do this we go to Settings/Notifications.
At the top we will see the 3 notification options we have:
- Notifications on the lock screen
- Floating notifications
- Notification on app icons
We click on the first option and we will see the option to “open notification bar on the lock screen”, if we deactivate this option no application will show its notification.
However if we select only the individual applicationwill be the one that will not inform us if we have a notification in our desktop notification window.
