Although AirPods are some of the best Bluetooth headphones on the market, they can also present unexpected errors that, fortunately, many of them are easily fixed. It is just a matter of following a few simple steps to repair the fault.

What to do if your AirPods can’t be heard
If you can’t hear one of your AirPods, or maybe both, try these solutions. They are all simple and will not compromise the integrity of your AirPods, you will not run the risk of losing the warranty, but you will be able to solve the problem:
– Check your iPhone’s Bluetooth: Make sure your iPhone’s Bluetooth is turned on by swiping down from the top right corner of the screen to access Control Center. Next, make sure that the circle with the Bluetooth symbol is blue, this will indicate that it is enabled.
– Update iPhone software: It is common that AirPods cannot be paired with the mobile phone because it is outdated. It is advisable to have the latest version of iOS, to update go to “Settings” – “General” and select “Software Update”.
– Use the case: A simple trick is to place the AirPods in their case and let them charge for approximately 30 seconds.
Then, open the cover of the case near the iPhone or iPad you are going to pair and wait for the AirPods message to appear on the device’s screen. Place the earbuds in your ears and play music or a video to confirm that the audio is working again.
– Reset AirPods: If the previous step does not work, proceed to reset the AirPods. Place the headphones in their case with the lid closed, wait 30 seconds and open the lid to connect the headphones to your iPhone or iPad.
Enter the “Settings” menu and tap “Bluetooth,” find the AirPods in the list and tap the “i” symbol. Choose “Forget this device”, open the lid of the box and press and hold the top button for about 15 seconds until the front light starts flashing.
Finally, place the AirPods with the case lid open near the iPhone. Instructions will be displayed on the screen for you to start pairing as if it were the first time.
– Clean the helmets: If the audio sounds clogged or heavily distorted, dust and other debris may be blocking the mesh of the horns. If this is your case, it will be enough to clean the AirPods correctly to recover the sound quality.
– Guarantee applies: The usual thing is that the warranty on AirPods is 24 months (two years), if none of the previous procedures worked, return the headphones to the store where you bought them and use the warranty.
