Amazon has launched Alexa+, the new generation of its virtual assistant, which uses artificial intelligence to help users in their daily tasks and that is a qualitative leap in the way in which users will relate to Amazon’s smart devices.
The new Alexa+ connects language models (LLM), capacities of large -scale agents, services and devices. It will be available at first in English for customers from the United States and will be implemented in all countries where Alexa is currently available, including Spain.
In this sense, Amazon is already working with local scientists and engineers to take Alexa +’s experience to all users before the end of the year, although a specific date has not been specified.
What can you do with Alexa+?
These are some of the functionalities that Alexa+premieres, which will allow you to have a more fluid relationship with the assistant and interact more effectively. The company has indicated that it will add more functions of AI in the future, as the assistant is deployed in all Amazon devices in the world.
Maintain a conversation
It is perhaps one of the main novelties. Alexa until now was limited to offering independent answers to independent questions. However, with Alexa+ you will be able to carry out intelligent conversations, with reasoned questions and answers depending on the Cariz that takes the conversation.
In addition, Alexa+ learns from the different conversations that are maintained, this assumes that he can interact more, the experience is more fluid and has proactivity when answering.

Interaction with multiple devices
Alexa+ can control several home devices connected to a single application. The idea is that the digital home experience is broader and more immersive. For example, you can create Alexa routines exclusively with the voice and even Alexa will deduce what you want to say without an explicit request, such as adjusting the temperature of your intelligent thermostat when you say you are cold, or attenuate the lights when you say there is too much light. That is, you don’t have to pronounce an exact phrase, because Alexa+ will already know what you need with what you have commented.
Advanced messages
With Alexa+ you will be able to send text messages and also emails to your contacts. It is an addition that reaches the Amazon Aia assistant that allows not only to write these texts through the voice, but, for example, if you just made a reservation for a restaurant, you can ask Alexa+ to send the data of the place and time to the person you want, without even having to provide them with them.
Work with documents
Alexa+ gives you the possibility of receiving and analyzing documents. For example, you could send you a PDF and ask you to summarize what you say in it, while you are doing other tasks.
Find music and movies
Alexa+ is now able, for example, to find songs and movies without even knowing the title. It is enough to give an explanation of who sang the subject, what was going on, in what year you heard it … that is, imprecise clues that Alexa+ is able to analyze to find the correct theme or film.
