Google is making fruitful moves to bring its games and part of its platform to Windows. We talked about this some time ago, when the rumor that Android games would end up arriving on PC. Now, this has become a reality, as some mobile titles are, officially, on Windows 10 and 11 thanks to Google Play Games.

Until recently, the new feature had remained a closed beta giving access to only a few people in only three countries.

Currently, the landscape has just changed and everything points to the fact that Google Play Games is close to taking the next big step because it opened its beta to computers. But not only that, it also demands fewer requirements, annex to more countries and more games are now available.

Google Play Games is getting closer and closer

After many months of closed testing, the Play Games open beta has become a reality. It is not necessary to join a waiting list to test the platform, anyone will be able to activate the service, as long as they have Windows 10 or 11.

Now, an important point that cannot be overlooked is that the open beta is only available in South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and Australia. Although they are few countries, the fact is that the closed beta was only enabled in the first three.

Another relevant point is that Google Play Games will offer 50 entry titles for new users, previously there were only 13. The best of all is that they are perfectly adapted to work at their best on the computer. The games are compatible with mouse, keyboard, controllers and large screens.

The interface was also updated, now it looks better because they implemented Material You. But, undoubtedly, the most relevant thing is that the minimum requirements were reduced so that more people have access to Google Play Games. What the system asks for is the following:

– Operating system: Windows 11 or 10.

– Processor: minimum 4 physical cores.

– Graphics: Intel UHD 630 or equivalent.

– RAM: 8 GB.

– Storage: 10 GB of free space.

– Have an administrator account in Windows.

– Enable hardware virtualization on the PC.
