By default, Google Maps shows all its users the location of their home as soon as they open the app. It’s faster and easier that way Find distances or travel routes from home to a certain point without having to manually enter our home address each time you search. In addition to your home address, you can use Google Maps – which released Dark Mode for iOS this week – to record the location of your workplace and other addresses that you visit frequently.
If you mark your home address on Google Maps, you can search for routes without having to enter your address manually
If you have moved, it is recommended that you report this information to Google Maps so that you can continue to use the app conveniently. Although Maps now allows you to mark your location in real time, it is preferable to change your address for this to work more effectively. Here we explain how to do it:
-Google Maps on Mobile: Open the Google Maps app on your phone and you will see a series of icons appear on the bottom strip of the screen. The one in the middle, in the form of a label, says “Saved” and there you have to press to enter your address or to change your address.
-“Home”: This icon takes you to an area with a series of tabs. There you can enter your favorite pages, the places you want to visit and the “Tagged”. In the latter you have to press to get to a new screen with two options: “Home” and “Work”. Click on the first one.
-Enter or edit address: The first time you enter your address in Maps, you must click the sign that “Home” passes by, enter the address in a bar that appears, and then save the changes.
On the other hand, if you want to change the direction you have set, you have to click on the three dots in the upper left corner. When you do, you’ll see an option that says “Edit Home,” and that’s where you can enter your new address and save the change.
