Pairing an Android tablet to a smart TV will allow you to project the content that the tablet plays on the television. You can do this to use a tablet that you no longer use and that is permanently connected to the television or, simply, to watch your favorite movies and series on a larger screen.
There are several ways to connect the tablet to the TV, all of them very simple and take little time. Here you will learn about each of them so that you can choose the one you like the most or the one that best suits your possibilities to make a successful connection.
This is how you can pair an Android tablet with your smart TV
As we mentioned, there are multiple ways to pair an Android tablet and a smart TV, they are as follows:
Cast screen
This is the most direct procedure. You will not need to install any app because the function is available in the operating system of your Android tablet.
In this sense, it will be enough to display the quick access menu (slide your finger on the screen from top to bottom to open it) so that you see the “Screen broadcast” option.
Once in this option, the tablet will automatically search for nearby devices so that the content you play is reflected on the TV panel.
Just tap on the name of your television to start streaming. It should be noted that this method is only compatible with Android TV or televisions that have a built-in Chromecast.
Using Google Home
If your tablet does not have the screen casting function, you can use Google Home to cast content from the tablet to your TV.
Download the Google Home app from the Google Play Store and enter it. There you will see all the nearby devices to which you can connect the tablet and your smart TV will appear on the list, tap on it to start streaming content.
With a USB to HDMI cable
To make a direct connection from the tablet to your television, without depending on any app, you can use a microUSB or USB-C cable (this will depend on the port on your tablet) to HDMI. Once you connect the cable, you will be able to see the image from the tablet on the television or monitor.
Keep in mind that you do not need a smart TV, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to apply this method, since the content will be transmitted directly via the cable.
