This, which can be useful if you want to be aware of the news on a specific portal, can become a real nightmare if you activate notifications of many of the web pages you browse, as you may be constantly receiving notices.
The problem is that, in addition, many times people accept notifications from an app or a website without really being aware of it. We browse the Internet at such speed, trying to satisfy a need or find an answer to what worries us, that when the notification window appears we can often accidentally click OK.
And once accepted… what can I do? It just happened to me, that’s why I decided to write this article, so that those who also happen to it can know how to manage which web pages they have given permission to send them notifications and how to manage access, being able to revoke those that were granted. want.
Notifications must be revoked in the browser for which access has been given, so if you use multiple browsers, you will have to go one by one eliminating the notifications that you no longer want to receive in each of them.
How to disable notifications from web pages in Google Chrome
If you use the Google Chrome browser, you have to open it and click on the three vertical dots icon located at the top right.
Now, in the pop-up menu, go to the “Settings” option, which is the last one on the list.
There, go to “Privacy and security” and in the main screen menu go to “Site settings”.
Among the options that appear, go to “Notifications.” By clicking, you can select to delete all notifications or go site by site, selecting those that you have given permission and want to deactivate, and those that you have not given permission and now want to activate.
How to manage web page notifications in Safari
The only thing you have to do is, in an open Safari window, go to the top menu and click on “Safari”
Now, in the pop-up menu, select “Settings”
Go to the “Websites” section and in the left menu select “Notifications”.
Now you will see a list of all the web pages that have tried to ask your permission to send you notifications. Those to whom you did not give access will be shown with “Deny” and those to whom you did give access with “Allow” will be displayed.
You just have to change the “Allow” option to “Deny” in those for which you want to deactivate notifications.
Remove notifications from web pages in Firefox
For other browsers, such as Firefox, the procedure to eliminate notifications is similar.
You must go to the browser configuration options and manage the “Privacy and security” option found in the menu on the left.
Now go to the Settings button, which is located to the right of “Notifications”.
