The other great streaming video platform is Vimeo which, although with much less content, is a video website much loved by filmmakers, documentary filmmakers and other creators. Unlike YouTube, where short videos abound, on Vimeo it is common to find films, documentaries, artistic videos or tutorials.

If you want to watch some of their videos at some point when you’re not going to have Internet connection, it is best to download the content. Here we explain how you can download to your PC the videos posted on Vimeo.

Unlike YouTube. Vimeo allows you to download your videos without having to pay a subscription to the site. This way you can download videos from the same platform:
-“Download”: Go to the video you want to download and you will see that, below the title, on the right side of the screen, there is an icon that says “Download”. Click on the sign.
-Video quality: When you do so, you will be taken to a new window from which you must choose the resolution in which you want to download the video. Once you have made your selection, the video will be downloaded automatically and in a few seconds it will be on your computer.

Vimeo users who have a paid channel can choose whether or not the videos they upload are downloadable. Here are the steps you need to follow:
-Download websites: On Google you will find numerous websites that offer you to download videos from YouTube. The most popular and efficient are SaveTheVideo and Vimeo Downloader. Both of them work in a very similar way.
-Copy link and download: On both pages you must copy the link of the video you want to download. Then you will be asked to choose what quality you want to download the video in. Click on the version of the video you want to download and click “Save link as”. Once you do this, the download will start automatically and in a few minutes you will have the video stored on your computer.
