If you work with multiple monitors connected to your main computer, you may want to place different wallpapers on each of them. In this guide you will find the way to do it. In addition, this method is valid for both computers with a Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating system version.
Place different wallpapers on each monitor
It is an efficient and visual way to separate tasks for which each screen is intended. In addition to being able to place different wallpaper images on each monitor you use on a daily basis, it will also be a more productive way to separate jobs and more quickly identify what you will find on each of the screens. So if you want to place a different wallpaper on each of them, follow this guide.
-Press Windows Key + I to open Windows Settings
-Now go to the 'Personalization' option
-Once inside you will find the different wallpaper options. The free Windows images will be there, in addition to being able to choose an image from your hard drive. Choose one of them for one of the monitors
-Click with the right mouse button on the selected image and you will see how it tells you if you want to set it for all the monitors on your workstation, as well as for the monitor you want: monitor 1, monitor 2, etc.
-Select the one you want for 'Monitor 1'
-Repeat the same steps for the next monitor
This way you will have different wallpapers for each of the screens connected to your computer.
How to create slideshows on your Windows wallpapers
Another presentation option that you have in both Windows 10 and Windows 11 is to place presentations on your wallpapers. That is, choose different images and change them in the presentation of your wallpaper from time to time. To achieve this, you must follow the following steps:
-Press Windows key + R to open the 'Run' box
-On the next screen copy and paste the following command:
shell:::{ED834ED6-4B5A-4bfe-8F11-A626DCB6A921} -Microsoft.Personalization\pageWallpaper
-A new configuration window will appear in which you will find the entire gallery of images to set as wallpaper. Among all of them, make a multiple selection of all that you want to reproduce in a carousel
-Now, with the right mouse button, click on one of them and indicate that you want to 'Set as presentation' all of them
Likewise, although from now on, all the images selected in the previous step will begin to play on the wallpaper of your monitors, you can also configure the time that must pass between images. You can also choose whether or not to stop playing the presentation when your computer is not connected to the power. Obviously, this will be effective when your main computer is a laptop.
