How to put links to a PDF file

Adobe Acrobat Reader is a tool that allows you to view, create, manage and edit PDF files. Its functions even include the ability to insert links to documents.

This is a feature that will allow you to provide readers of your text or research paper with direct access to additional information, improving the navigability of the document and enriching the user experience with these complementary resources.

In this article, you will learn how to insert links easily, optimizing your PDF documents for a much more dynamic and efficient interaction.

Steps to insert links in a PDF file

The first thing you should keep in mind is that you can use Adobe Acrobat Reader from your iOS or Android phone or from your computer. Although this tool offers many free features, adding links is a premium feature that requires a subscription to the platform.

However, you can take advantage of the 7-day free trial offered by the tool to familiarize yourself with this feature and others that interest you. Thus, at the end of that trial week, you can decide whether to pay for a subscription to continue having these premium features.

That said, to put links in your document you just have to follow these steps:

-Open Adobe Acrobat Reader and log in with your username and password. It is very important that you make sure you are logged in.

-Once inside, a main panel will open with all the tools. Locate three lines at the top left and click there.
