How to recover closed tabs in Google Chrome

If you are browsing the Internet, using Google Chrome, and you close – or are closed – by mistake the browsing tabs, you should know that there are a couple of very simple methods to recover those web pages that you have closed.

You won't have to think about which web pages you had active to open them again manually, but with Google's proprietary browser it is possible to easily reopen all of them automatically and in a matter of seconds. You just have to follow these steps:

Recover closed tabs in Google Chrome

To reopen closed tabs in Google Chrome you can follow one of these three procedures:

Use a keyboard shortcut

Google Chrome has very useful keyboard shortcuts and one of them allows you to recover closed tabs in a matter of seconds. All you have to do is press the CRTL key and the Shift key, in addition to the T key.

With this shortcut you will recover the last tab that was closed. If you continue pressing the T key – while holding down the other two – the rest of the tabs that have been closed will open.

If Google Chrome has closed completely, or the computer has restarted, you just have to press these keys to open all the tabs at once.

Use the right mouse button

Another easy way to recover all closed tabs in Google Chrome is to right-click on the part of the browser where there are no open tabs. If you click there with the right mouse button, a pop-up menu will appear and among the available options is “Reopen the closed tab.”

This reopens the last closed tab, so you will have to repeat the procedure if you want to open other previously closed tabs.

Use browsing history

This method will be useful if you have closed many tabs and you do not want to open them all, but only one in particular. You will have to press the CTRL key and the letter “H”, this will open the Chrome browser history.

You will see that it is organized by dates or groups, and so you will be able to see all the URLs that you have opened in the past, since the last time the history was cleaned and you will be able to reopen the ones you want.
