How to search for keywords in another language

Metakeywords SEO

SEO allows you to optimize a page or website for searches on Google and other search engines, in order to obtain greater visibility and improve organic traffic to reach more users. Just as there is a branch of SEO that focuses on local results, there is also one for those sites that want to obtain international visibility.

For an International SEO strategy, it is necessary to perform a different search for keywords for each language, as these may vary and it is not enough to translate them.

International SEO has many benefits, for example, the possibility of reach a much larger audiencebut it also has some disadvantages, as it is also more difficult to rank a page in a foreign country. This is because Google always prioritizes pages located in a country over results from foreign pages and websites.

One of the pillars of any SEO strategy is the search for keywords, in this case, as it is about positioning a website in another country, it will be important to know what are the right terms for it. In this sense, it is possible to follow the following steps:

-Research keywords: The simplest way to begin research of this type is to start by studying the competition. To do this, you should identify the main competitors and analyze their keywords, trying to identify any content gaps they have. It is also advisable to analyze those keywords for which they are better positioned and add them to the list.

-Analyze keywords: Once you have a list of all the keywords, you should run them through any keyword search tool, configuring the search for the particular country. In this search you should eliminate all branded results, as well as any results that you are not interested in or that are negative keywords.

-Sort results: The ideal is to create two sheets, one for the keywords of the competition and another for those that we have found in the search. In this sense, you should create columns and sort the results by relevance or monthly traffic.

-Filter the results: Next, the results should be filtered, removing from the list any results that have a relevance of less than 50% or have less than 100 monthly searches.

-Search for related keywords: To get more keywords and discover semantic results or long tail keywords, it is possible to use other tools like Answer the public or LSIGraph that show related results, questions and all kinds of long tail keywords.
