How to use the Microsoft Copilot app on Android phones

Microsoft’s conversational Artificial Intelligence tool is called Microsoft Copilot, heir to what was previously known as Bing Chat, which has changed its name by incorporating AI.

Its operation is similar to that of ChatGPT, and you can use it to receive answers to complex questions, write content, create images using AI, edited videos… etc.

Until now, it could only be used from a browser, but now Microsoft has launched the Copilot application for Android mobile phones. Although no official announcement has been made, the app can now be downloaded from the Google Play Store. Of course, those who have an iPhone mobile will have to wait, since it has not yet reached the Apple App Store.

How the Copilot app for Android phones works

The tool works in the same way that AI behaves in browsers, only you can carry it in the palm of your hand and ask any query quickly anywhere.

The downloading the Microsoft Copilot app is completely free and you do not need to register with a Microsoft account or provide personal information to use it for most of its functions. Of course, for some in particular, registration is necessary. This occurs for example for the creation of images using AI.

Once downloaded and installed, it is very easy to use. When you start the app, a text bar is displayed at the bottom of the screen. This is where you should write the prompts (text of the queries) that you want to make to Microsoft Copilot. There you can tell it to resolve any problem, provide more information about any cause, or create an image, for example.

If you don’t want to type the command you want to request from Copilot, you can also communicate by using your voice. You will see that in the text bar, in the lower right corner, a microphone icon is displayed. You just have to press it to leave the audio message. The AI will interpret it and also play your response in audio mode.

Next to the microphone icon there is also another one that represents an image. It can be used to send a photo to Copilot’s Artificial Intelligence and have it search for similar images, or read the text included in it… or carry out any other action, since it can also process images.

What is not yet possible to create from the Microsoft Copilot mobile app for Android is music, something that is available in the desktop version of Microsoft’s AI.
