Not long ago came the novelty of being able to include emojis in Google Docs, but now this possibility has been further facilitated by a simple shortcut that makes it even more convenient to add them.
Google recently added the ability to include emojis within the documents generated or edited using the productivity suite Google Docs
The inclusion of emojis has become widespread in recent times, largely thanks to their popularization in instant messaging tools and social networks, where they can provide a valuable non-verbal context that greatly increases the richness of communication by conveying emotions in a way that words cannot always achieve. Or, in their case, much more concisely.
Hence, over time, there has been their permeability beyond the messages to documents, both personal, academic and professional, and therefore Google Docs decided to introduce the possibility of adding them natively to documents generated or edited from the productivity suite.
This avoids, for example, having to resort to any other place on the computer where the emojis you want to incorporate into a Google Docs document and add them using the “copy and paste” method.
The new method offers different methods to achieve this, each of which will be more suitable for different types of users or for different situations:
-Type the name of the emoji preceded by the at symbol, following the format “@emojiname” (without the quotation marks)
-Type “@emoji” to display a search engine to locate the desired emoji
-Type “@:”which is probably the quickest way to access a list that will appear after typing those two symbols (the at and the colon), through which the user can scroll until finding the most appropriate one. However, only a little more than half a dozen of the most common ones appear.
