FC Barcelona’s stadium will be renamed Spotify Camp Nou as of July 1, 2022. This is one of the main consequences of the collaboration agreement that the sports club has signed with Spotify, the world’s most popular streaming audio subscription service.
The agreement will take effect from the 2022/23 season
The Swedish company is to become Barça’s main sponsor and ‘Official Audio Streaming Partner’. This will mean that for the first time in the history of the Catalan club the stadium will have a ‘Title Partner’, and therefore its name will be changed.
The stadium will be renamed Spotify Camp Nou and the collaboration will extend during the time of remodeling of the Camp Nou, which will be part of the so-called Espai Barça and will turn the facilities and surroundings of the stadium into a place of open entertainment. Spotify is expected to have a prominent place within the Espai Barça, where it will play with its visual image and also give rise to different activity environments.
The agreement will come into force as of the 2022/23 season and will run for the next four seasons. During this time, the Spotify logo and emblem will also be displayed on the front of the men’s first team jersey as well as the women’s first team jersey.
Spotify will also sponsor the training shirts of both teams for at least the next three seasons. In addition, these will be a space in which to pay tribute to different artists from around the world to which both entities want to offer recognition.
In the same way, both the club and Spotify will work together to use the stadium’s audiovisual media and spaces to present the work of different artists and connect with Barça’s global audiences through television.
