2020 is behind us, it was a complicated year but full of great series like “The Lady’s Gambit” or the fantastic second season of “The Boys” which are part of the list of the best series of 2020. With that in mind, 2021 also seems like a good year for series buffs, as some highly anticipated premieres are in the works.
2021 will be the end of some great series as well as the beginning of new and long-awaited stories.
As every year, the most important streaming platforms – Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime Video, Disney + … – prepare their catalogs for premieres of new series and other seasons of the best known. Despite the problems some platforms have suffered from due to Covid-19, 2020 was a very good year for the series. So let’s see what to expect from 2021.
-Cobra Kai (T3, Netflix): After moving from YouTube Premium to Netflix, the Karate Kid spinoff series has become a mass phenomenon. New appearances from the villains of the 80s saga are expected in the new season.
-Vikingos (T6, Movistar +, Netflix): In 2021, the Vikings are preparing to say goodbye with their final season (and awaiting their return with the long-awaited “Vikings: Valhalla”). In the final season we will see the fate of Kattegat.
– “Sky Rojo” (T1, Netflix): From the makers of “La casa de papel”, “El embarcadero” or “Los Serrano”, a Spanish drama about three prostitutes who flee after injuring a pimp.
– «Lupine» (T1, Netflix): Adaptation of the manga about a thief in a white glove, it will have a first season of 10 episodes.
– “Memories of Idhûn” (S2, Neflix): The premiere of the second season of the adaptation of the novels by Spanish author Laura Gallego.
– «Stranger Things» (T4, Netflix): 2021 is the day you can enjoy the long-awaited fourth season of Stranger Things, which has suffered several delays due to Covid-19.
– “Scarlet Witch and Vision” (S1, Disney +): First part of the series of the Marvel Universe Who Will See the Light. It will be a short, six-episode series in sitcom format that will show us the daily life of the couple formed by the Scarlet Witch and Vision.
– «The Book of Boba Fett» (T1, Disney +): Disney has introduced a number of new series based on the “Star Wars” universe. Based on the adventures of the mercenary Boba Fett, this series will be added to the timeline of “The Mandalorian”.

This fifth season will feature names like Macaulay Culkin and the return of classics like Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Kathy Bates. Little is known about the series at the moment, but everything indicates that it will take place near the sea.
