Treasures can take many forms. Buried money, precious metal objects… classic cars. Yes, just as you read. There are often stories of people finding real relics in their homes. Sometimes they are unaware of their true value. The discovery of a treasure trove of classic cars makes collectors dream.
This is an impressive find. It is a collection of 174 classic cars. And they were abandoned for several years in a warehouse in London, UK. Now the vehicles will be offered for sale through an auction. Those in charge will be the firm London Barn Finds.
They explain it on their Instagram account. There the company spread the auction of different models. This arouses the interest of collectors and restorers of cars. Especially, taking into account that these are pieces that in many cases are no longer manufactured. Therefore, they are difficult to find in the whole world.
Some of the cars they found in the warehouse are from famous models. There are Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche, Volkswagen and Mini Cooper. Among the treasures are a 1948 MG or a 1957 Mercedes 200 Ponton. Also a Porsche 911 from 1973 and several Volkswagens. There are pieces as particular as a Nissan 300 ZX Z31 generation, several BMW 2002 and Volkswagen Beetles. Even a Mazda MX-5.
The auction company did not provide further details about the history of the discovery. Many of the cars are not fully documented due to their age. However, the cars belong to a private collection. Only 200 people were allowed to attend.
“Thanks to everyone who came to the open house. We are currently looking at the offers received from Monday’s viewing. We will contact the people who volunteered in due course.”. The discovery of a treasure trove of classic cars is one of those things that makes us imagine what other treasures are out there hidden away.
