The millenary civilization of Caral is the oldest in America, and was located in Peru. The vestiges that left in his path were lost largely, but tracks that tell us about their magnificiency still appear. One of them is the pyramid found in Peru.
Everything began with a multidisciplinary research team in the archaeological zone of Chupacigarro, Peru. They performed excavations around the complex, when they discovered an old pyramidal structure. Where was it located? They found it a kilometer west of the sacred city of Caral-Supe. This place had already been designated World Heritage, as reported by the ‘Greek Reporter’ portal.

5 thousand years
It is emphasized that recent archaeological explorations allowed researchers to discover this structure. Apparently, he had been hidden from trees and other shrubs, which prevented it from being easily recognized.
The researchers found stone walls that formed at least three overlapping platforms. The archaeologists highlighted the great stones placed vertically on the walls they called Huancas. The function I had was to mark the corners of the building and the central ladder that gave access to the upper part of the building.
«These settlements belong to Caral civilization, no doubt. This existed in the ancient pre -Hispanic Peru from 3000 to 1800 AC the 12 structures, considered public or ceremonial, are scattered. And crown the tops of the small hills of the ravine and surrounding a central space, ”he explains Greek Reporter.

Excavating the past
However, researchers have determined that the archaeological zone of Chupacigarro is in a strategic location. It was built to facilitate relations between the ancient peoples of Peru. Especially those who settled in the Valley Bajo de Supe and the coast of Huaura.
The pyramid found in Peru is barely the beginning of new excavation works. They hope to know more about the customs of its inhabitants. “Individuals provided various types of marine products, such as fish, which were not available for chupacigarrro settlers,” adds the Greek Reporter.
