Meta has presented the Meta Quest 3, its new mixed reality glasses that improve the Meta Quest 2 by offering a considerable improvement in terms of virtual and augmented reality experience. In addition, they are more ergonomic and lighter, and also present improvements in terms of software.
It has been in the Meta’s annual Meta Connect event where these mixed reality glasses have been presented that will hit the market on October 10, although they will not do so in all countries at the same time. In Spain they are expected to arrive in the month of December.

Features and price of the Meta Quest 3
Meta’s new mixed reality glasses have a 4K Infinite Display, with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. It offers 2064 x 2208 pixels per eye and is estimated to improve the resolution of the Meta Quest 2 by 30%.
The processor they use is the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2, which according to Meta is capable of achieving twice the graphical performance of the previous glasses. The Meta Quest 3 has 8 GB of RAM and two storage options: 128 GB or 512 GB. They include stereo speakers with 3D spatial sound and a dual RGB camera with depth projector.
Its autonomy is about 2.5 hours of average use, with a charging time of 2.3 hours. The price they have is 549.99 and 699.999 euros, depending on the storage capacity chosen.
One of the main characteristics is that they do not incorporate the traditional ring in this type of device, which ensures a more fluid experience and freedom of movement.
Meta Quest 3 augmentations and game catalog
One of the main new features presented is Augments, a functionality with which you can enjoy Meta tools adapted to the user’s environment. For example, as shown in the image, Instagram Reels could be seen integrated into the individual’s living room thanks to the use of Augmented Reality.
In addition, more than a hundred new games will arrive on the Meta Quest 3 before the end of the year, which means that owners of these devices will have access to more than 500 titles to enjoy with their mixed reality glasses.
It is also new that Microsoft’s cloud video game service, Xbox Cloud Gaming, will be compatible with the Meta Quest 3, so those who have this device will be able to play the platform’s games and subscribe to the paid service to play on streaming.
