This is what the “Age of Empires” game for mobiles will be like – TreceBits

Age of Empires on mobiles

One of the best strategy games of all time, Age of Empireswill soon be coming to mobile devices. The news is official, they are working on the title so that it adapts perfectly to the mobile screen and is able to offer a first class experience. The announcement was confirmed at the 25th anniversary event of the mythical saga.

World’s Edge and Xbox Game Studios unveiled that Age of Empires will move from PC to iOS and Android.

This move in the video game market by Microsoft is part of the company’s strategy to become strong in the mobile gaming sector, something that Netflix or social networks such as TikTok are also trying to achieve.

In the same vein, the Redmond firm is trying to acquire the important video game development studio Activison Blizzard King, a multimillion-dollar purchase that could be completed in 2023.

Certainly, some years ago they tried to incorporate Age of Empires to smartphones, but the adaptation was not good. Now, plans have changed, as Microsoft has assured that the staging will be faithful to that of the PC. They will not skimp on resources, nor will it be a cut-down version in terms of gameplay or graphics.

The company claims that the title will keep intact its essence as a strategy video game. It will not be a modified version like “Age of Empires: Castle Siege”, which revolved around defending towers. Nor will it resemble “Age of Empires: World Domination,” a real-time strategy game that bore no resemblance to the original series.

Microsoft assures that it will not make the same mistake, as the previously named video games failed shortly after being released. As for the gameplay that the title will have, all details have been reserved. For now, only the trailer above is available, a preview that lets you know what “Age of Empires” will be like for cell phones.

It will be interesting to see how they will adapt such a complex game to the mobile panel. Both gamers and the media hope that this will be the definitive version for smartphones and that Microsoft will make a difference in this area.
