Google Photos new updates

Google Photos ceased to be a totally free service in the summer of 2021 – and here we presented some alternatives to Google Photos – but despite that, it is still a widely used tool that you can get a lot out of, both for storing photos and editing them.

Google Photos stopped offering free unlimited storage in 2021

In addition, Google has not stopped incorporating new advances in Google Photos. In fact, after those already presented last March, now the company has just launched two important new features for its service that have to do with Memoriesa feature that was launched three years ago and now has an improved design.

The size of the videos is now larger, making it easier to edit the content from the cell phone. As for photos, users now have a zoom that allows them to choose much better the part to edit, just by “pinching” the screen with two fingers.

This first novelty has to do with the usability of the service, but Google Photos also improves the creation of content thanks to the new tool Full Cinematic Memories. This new feature makes it possible to give motion to static photos. In addition to incorporating movement for the images, music can also be added to the creation.

Along with this new feature, “Styles” function is also launchedwhich allows you to include different illustrations in your Memories completely free of charge. Some of them are designed by renowned artists and designers, and made available to Google Photos users free of charge.

These three new features for Google Photos Memories are now available to all users of the tool in the Android version of Google Photos. Those who use the Google Photos iOS app will still have to wait a few weeks to see these new features active on the service.
