We return, after the Christmas break, to review the most outstanding game releases of the month.. You already know that we are especially dedicated to those landing for PC, but we also take into account the most relevant releases on the market of the main consoles on the market, that is, PlayStation, Switch and Xbox.
February is usually a strange month in this regardYou know that between November and December many releases are concentrated for the Christmas campaign, and then January is usually a real dry spell, in which developers and distributors recover a little from the frenetic pace of work of the last two months of the year. February usually begins to mark the recovery of the rhythm, with some years weaker and others much more interesting. Although, of course, this interest is somewhat subjective, as it depends a lot on personal tastes and how many of the releases coincide with them.
In this case, in February 2023, and especially its second fortnight, since. during the first we find only two relevant releasesThe list is interesting and varied, which is certainly to be welcomed, with some long-awaited titles and others that, although we’ve barely heard of them, are promising. But remember, beware of expectations, as unfortunately we are already more than used to seeing them subverted by reality. Ready for the review? Let’s get on with it.

- Release date: February 2, 2023
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One
If you enjoyed Deliver Us The Moon, you’ll be happy to know that we are facing its sequel, a title that inherits the most interesting features of its predecessor. You will embody the astronaut Kathy Johanson in the mission to recover a ship stolen by a mysterious group, which will take you to the surface of the red planet in a post-apocalyptic context, in which the survival of humanity may depend on your success in the mission.
Hogwarts Legacy
- Release date: February 10, 2023
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S
Finally, barring any surprises, the long-awaited Hogwarts Legacy will debut this month, a game that has already suffered several delays, which could be justified if the title finally lives up to the expectations it has aroused, especially among the community of followers and fans of the Harry Potter universe. We are faced with an open-world RPG in which we can stick to follow the plot, which promises to be quite rich, or explore all the locations that are already so familiar to us thanks to the novels and movies.
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line
- Release date: February 16, 2023

Final Fantasy music (385 tracks, no less, this alone is already a complete claim for many) and a rhythm that oscillates between fast devilish make up the new installment of a franchise known and loved by many Nintendo players. Recruit new characters, form teams, collaborate in multiplayer mode and, above all and above all, do not lose the rhythm, even if the content of the screen seems to hypnotize you.

Imagine a medieval Japan, plagued by all kinds of monsters, and where you have Karakuti (ancient and arcane technology), which you will have to employ to deal with all those creatures that sow chaos and destruction in their path. Atomic Heart
- Release date: February 21, 2023
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One
When I was talking, at the beginning, about developments that have gone under the radar, I was thinking of Atomic Heart,an almost unknown title from an almost unknown studio but one that, in light of the footage of it they’ve previewed, looks really promising. In the game you are a soldier facing the uprising of unstable machines that have rebelled against their masters to forge a new world, in a post-apocalyptic setting and with an aesthetic that draws from more than relevant sources.
Like A Dragon: Ishin!
- Release date: February 21, 2023
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One
Connoisseurs of the Japanese video game market and especially fans of the Like A Dragon saga have been waiting for many years for the official arrival, in the West, of Ryū ga Gotoku Ishin!, which since 2014 and until now has only been available in the Japanese market. In this adventure, players play the historical hero Sakamoto Ryōma and participate in an epic story of samurai drama, set in Japan’s Edo period.
PlayStation VR2
- Release date: February 22, 2023
- Platforms: PlayStation 5
In this case we are not talking about a game, but a new gaming platform, with the second generation of PlayStation’s virtual reality viewer. Available exclusively for the new generation of Sony’s console, and without backward compatibility with the titles of the first generation of VR, it arrives with a complete selection of games, which we detail here.
Horizon Call of the Mountain
Of the more than thirty titles available for the launch of PlayStation VR2, I decided to highlight the jump to virtual reality of the Horizon saga, one of the most outstanding exclusives of Sony’s ecosystem. On this occasion we will embody Ryas, a prisoner of Carja in charge of investigating a new rising threat in the apocalyptic lands that we have already known previously while we toured them with Aloy.
Octopath Traveler II
- Release date: February 24, 2023
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch
The unmistakable aesthetic of its predecessor, which we can call 2.5D, returns with a new adventure in which we will have to follow the steps of eight heroes in the kingdom of Solistia, to which each of them arrives with a specific purpose, in a context in which their paths will be crossed. You will have to choose which paths to take, which heroes to follow and how much time you will spend in these beautiful diorama-like scenes.
Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe
Kirby, one of the most iconic creatures of the Nintendo universe, returns in an updated version of the title that came to Nintendo Wii at the time. The game proposal is, therefore, similar, but we find a completely renewed environment, with a visual aspect even more attractive than the original and in which, as you can already guess, we will have to make use of the characteristic skills of this adorable creature.
Kerbal Space Program 2
- Release date: February 25 (in Early Access mode)
- Platforms: PC
I’ve lost count of how long this game has been on my Steam wishlist. Announced years ago and delayed a thousand times, we are finally on the doorstep of the new version of one of the most interesting space exploration simulators we’ve seen in decades. Kerbal Space Program 2 promises to offer the same challenges as its predecessor and new ones, plus many more parts, options and even more realistic physics.
Destiny 2: Lightfall
- Release date: February 28, 2023
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One
The new expansion of Destiny 2 also arrives with a little delay, but seen what has been seen it seems that the wait will have been worth it, as we are faced with a large set of new features, both aesthetic and argumentative that promise to improve and update the gaming experience.
Scars Above
- Release Date: February 28, 2023
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One
If you like the horror genre and, at this point, thought that February was not going to have anything remarkable for you, we have good news, because it is not so (although by the skin of your teeth, because it debuts on the 28th) and if you like horror in space even more. Here we will embody the astronaut and scientist Kate, who wakes up in a hostile planet full of truly repellent alien creatures, but that can not stop us in our task of exploring the world in which it is.
