will allow you to post porn, but not everyone

The OnlyFans platform has communicated in recent days a change in its policy of use that would eliminate sexually explicit content from October 1, although it would allow (with certain conditions) the publication of images and videos of nudity. But in an unexpected turn of events through their Twitter account they have announced a rectification.

OnlyFans will allow only the most successful creators to post sexually explicit content

The announcement has forwarded to a subsequent, more extensive and detailed communiquébut for the time being OnlyFans is willing to continue publishing content on the platform exactly as it has been up to now.

Thank you all for making your voices heard. We have secured the necessary measures to support the diversity of our creator community and have suspended the planned October 1st ban for changes to our policy. OnlyFans advocates for inclusion and we will continue to provide a home for all of our creators“.

So reads the notice of correction to the amendment announced a day ago and that has caused a major stir among many of the users (mostly female users) of the platform whose content offered sexually explicit images and videos and who saw their income endangered.

After the initial announcement of banning such content the outcry from content creators has generated a debate about the platform’s business model and the reasons for the change in publishing policy. There is a significant number of content creators that have focused their activity on this platform as a source of incomeThe announced measure was a clear threat to what for some has become a livelihood, although in some cases OnlyFans also has a dark side that generates problems and conflicts.

As a reason for that initial modification, banks and investors are pointed to, in particular the former’s disinterest in dealing with the management of payments and both of them wanting to disassociate themselves from sexually explicit content for fear of reputational repercussions. The reasons for the rectification of the measure are not yet clear, we will have to wait for the more extensive statement announced by OnlyFans.
